Star Verse Comics, is a Indie/Small Press Comic Company based out of Yorkton, Saskatchewan Canada and began on the date of April 18, 1999 by Ryan Crouse, the Owner/Creator and artist! On June 3rd, 2009, SVC became 10 YEARS OLD! :) -> Online Portfolio

Star Verse Comics originally started off small, very small. Infact Ryan began creating them when he was going to school at Calder, Saskatchewan, Canada (A school I might add that at the time was K-Gr.9 and had roughly 60 students) in I believe grade 5. They were all Ryan's own created characters that he drew on the bus to school everyday in his notepad (must have done 400-500 charcters in that time, some that are still used to this day - Tech Storm (with a different name), Spike, Dr. Clock, Mountain just to name a few). The comics, they were about the same. Drawn with Sharpies and pens, the creation of Star Verse Comics got under way. If you want to, technically, the first ever star verse comic was drawn on February 1993, titled Clock War #1. (Making Star Verse Comics 13 Years Old this year). As time went on, Ryan ended up making 53 comic books before he began to take things a little more serious and make the jump to the next step.

It was in 1997 when he began Grade 10 at the YRHS, one of Ryan's teachers seemed interested in his books, and asked me for a copy, thus the first ever title given away! From there, he made titles such as Iron #1, The Untold takes of the Star Verse Characters #1, Fulgor the Fighter #1, and his final comic of that time - Star Verse Team Ups #1 Featuring Solar Star & Trasher. He also drew up a comic that I was hoping but sort of knew that he had no chance of getting Nintendo to agree on ... Kirby Adventures #1 & 2. It was also not until Ryan was in Grade 11 during August - September 1998 in his Information Processing Computer class that he truly started to think beyond the level of comics that he was making. It was also when he signed up and got my Official Copyright! Ryan then went on to create his first “Serious” comic ... Clock War #3 (also the 1st comic of the New Star Verse Comics)

1998 - 1999, his Grade 12 year, he did a lot of planning and thinking about this New Universe that he has just created over the past several years called Star Verse Comics. One of the first changes that he did was learn HTML Code and slapped Star Verse on the Internet with the help of Geocities (a free web space provider). Ryan then took on a whole new challenge that to this day he is still working hard at. He went into Norcal’s Art store in Regina Sask. Canada and purchased his first ever Winsor & Newton series #7 Sable inking brush! He didn’t have a clue how to use it, but after he spent over $30 Canadian on a single brush, he sure in the hell better learn how! From there, he began to search the net for art that he can practice my new found skill on. Thus, finding Pencil Jack, a Artist’s Message Board. From there, he did my first ever attempt at inking. Ryan was so proud, and replies said that it was great for a first time with a brush! Since then he has become members on many great Art Boards such as Top Cow, Blambot, Small Press Boards, ORCA, Figma, Dimestore Productions and more.

Shortly after that, Ryan met Paul Dale Roberts of Jazma On-Line and Jonathan Gilbert (a great Canadian Comic Book writer). These 2 helped him change and build his career and Star Verse Comics from the ground up!

Later he met Ian Shire of Dimestore Productions, and too has helped Star Verse Comics along the way, expecially with the DimeStore.

Future Plans involve:
* Clock War #1 Re-Birth
* Hero vs. Villain #2: Featuring Captain Soy
* Star Verse Presents #1
* The Adventures of CARL #2: The Search for the Holy Grail

Ryan Crouse is also a FREELANCE comic book INKER! - Inking Resume

He also does GRAPHIC DESIGNING for CLOTHING and CD COVERS, etc - Star Verse Entertainment My Musical Project IRON DRAGON has RELEASED it's Debut ALBUM! It is self titled "Iron Dragon," is roughly 72 minutes long, has 23 songs (including the Metal Epic "METAL HYMN" - standing at 8+ min.) and has a musical/instrumental range of Heavy Metal & Power Metal tunes!
