* Has his own solo Instrumental Heavy Metal Project - Iron Dragon
* Is a Comic book Artist/Inker as well as Owner/Creator of Star Verse Comics (One of Canada's longest running Small Press/Indie Comic Book Publishers)

Ryan grew up with an artistic touch. From the days of grade school, he was always in trouble with the teachers for drawing in the margins. A little higher up in the grades (between Grade 8-9), took his knowledge of art to create Star Verse Comics.

In High School, Ryan began to get bigger into the world of Graphic Design with his Computer Teacher showing him Photoshop 3.0. Ryan went running with what he learned back then to what he does today with Photoshop CS5.

Photography wise, what started out as just a small hobby with a compact Canon camera eventually grew into something that he began to love with his Canon Rebel T2i. Although he specializes in Birds, Scenery & Wildlife, he enjoys taking on the challenge of photographing at Wedding, doing Portraits, Old Vehicles, Pet Portraits, Sporting Events, or what have you!

Growing up on a farm outside of Wroxton, Sk. Ryan had witnessed many spectacular storms in his day - Storm Chasing, just seemed to come naturally to him :)

THE EVOLUTION OF THE "YORKTON STORM HUNTER"

What all started out back in 2009/2010 or so as just taking pics of the sky as the storms rolled over Yorkton SK Canada and area quickly changed to an immense passion for Severe Weather!
I went from snapping photos with my Canon Powershot SX150 to purchasing my first SLR in 2012 (Canon T2i). From there, naming myself what it still is today, and creating a Magnet to stick on my door with the website while local chasing.

After that, fell in love with the Live Streaming after watching Michael Phelps aka StormScapeLIVE.TV .

I then went and got real decals put onto my Storm Car and began live streaming on UStream, because of Michael Phelps I may add !

Late 2012 and into the 2013 Storm Season was research research research mode!!!!

2013, was still one of my personal favorite years for storms, structure and tornadoes! In fact, after live streaming multiple tornadoes at the same time around the Kamsack SK area, I was almost immediately asked if I would like to join TVNweather.com , which of course I said yes! (Big thanks to Sean Schofer & Reed Timmer)

I Live Streamed with TVN Weather until they ended, in late 2016.

Of course, I now live stream for Severe Studios. (as of 2025, was my 9th year - began in 2017)

After having some crazy storms and my car taking some damage here and there, in 2014 I got myself the Nissan Pathfinder (aka the Storm-Finder)!
The Pathfinder in a way was the doorway to a BIG change in my life via the world of Storm Chasing!

1st was from a great Weather Mentor whom took me to Tornado Alley USA for my 1st time and taught me a great deal - Notanee Bourassa!

Next ... Enter into the picture .... The Driver, Mechanic, Engineer, Super Awesome dad and my Chaser Brother .... Brandon Crane!

This man is responsible for the layout, design, installation and creation of the Hail Armor system that was installed on the Pathfinder and then again in 2017 onto the Nissan Frontier.
... and all pretty much with an idea, paper and pen to write the idea and a sawzall lol.
