Severe Warned Storm between Rosetown - Mistusinne SK Canada
This was a 12.5 hour drive for me! Left the house to begin the 3.5 hour journey to chase at 1pm and got back home at 1:30 am the next day haha.
I started the day at Davidson. As I filled up with gas, seen that my storm has pushed to the West and is beginning to form near Rosetown where it also became Severe Warned.
Decided to drive South of Strongfield and sit and wait at Gardiner Dam for it to come to us because Lake Diefenbaker creates road challenges.
Eventually, we could see the beautiful storm structure take it's shape!
As it came over the lake it did begin to fall apart, but still looked like it was wanted to keep trying so I kept on pushing!
I dropped South to Elbow to watch it try to once again come back to like and present some more structure.
From there headed towards Mistusinne and somewhere in that area is when it briefly turned into a beautiful UFO Mothership!
Overall, fun chase day!

Shelf Cloud over Yorkton SK Canada
For storm potential, what I was seeing was storms firing off anytime in the evening hours in basically in the Swan Plain/Norquay region and then pushing South while lining out towards Yorkton.
This is pretty much exactly what happened.
Around 9:15 pm, we got a Big Beautiful Shelf Cloud, right over Yorkton!
Photo taken and used with permission by a friend of mine, Jason Agecoutay.
I have seen like 1000 shots from others of this super fast moving storm that past over, I feel like Jason caught the best one so I was quite excited when he said I could share it with all of you!
Where was "MY" photo of it you might ask ???
... and of course the ONE time there is a big beautiful Shelf Cloud (even if it was short lived) coming over Yorkton, I am probably the ONLY one that missed it because I was in the Hospital getting my hand stitched up from slicing it open on the tin while cleaning my eavestroughs!

Severe Warned Storm near Davidson SK Canada
This .... was the start AND the end of my chase!
Made it to Chamberlain to fill up on Gas and off I went to intercept this storm!!!
I was in the perfect spot and had it all to myself!
Then .... steering wheel went nuts, thought I blew a tire so pulled over to find the a Wheel Stud broke and was missing 3 Lug Nuts.
So never having to do this before, found a youtube video and away I went with the Jack to tighten the 3 I had and took one off another tire to add a 4th for stability.
I also seen my storm was ramping up super nice so of course, that is when I took this photo haha!
After that, got them tighten thanks to the assistance of a nearby and really cool farmer that pulled over to assist.
From that moment, not knowing if there was damage etc ... I "Abandoned Ship" aka called off the chase and headed home to be safe.
.... I know they say, live to chase another day.... But man..... This one sucked! I'm seeing all these beautiful structure shots..... I was right there and my forecast, even though it was different than most, it was working!
I had a beautiful storm cell near Davidson all to myself and my plan was to chase it NE as it would meet with the storm that was originally in the NW. That is also what happened.
I would of been there ??
But I am glad I noticed my tire was legit almost falling off my truck which could of ended really bad!
I know and understand but it still sucks!
I legit eat, breathe and sleep severe weather, it's the most important thing to me!
But, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right!
I'll be back out there for the next storm!
While on the way back home (as I always seem to catch something haha), just East of Regina I got a beautiful Rainbow with some of the strongest most intense Anticrepuscular Rays I've ever seen!
